. We generally recommend a PIR Usage Sensor controller as being the best solution for most washrooms. The
Marnic Water Watch and Cistermiser IRC2 are the most popular with our online customers whilst the DVS Flushmatic range offers outstanding long-term reliability and is Gentworks' choice when we are carrying out installations.
The Vectair Sensaflush2 was launched in March 2010 and has some very innovative features, including a wireless link between the sensor and the control valve. All models are delivered from stock, usually within 2 working days.
HOW THE URINAL FLUSH CONTROLLERS WORK: The urinal flush control valves use a Passive Infra Red sensor to detect when someone has approached a bank of urinals. The Marnic and DVS models then start an electronic timer to initiate a flush after the number of minutes you have chosen, typically 20 minutes. If nobody approaches the urinals, for example at night or over the weekend, a 'hygiene flush' will be initiated, generally after 12 hours of inactivity. This feature is important to prevent odours on a Monday morning, for example. The Sensaflush2 has the same capabilities but enhances these by allowing different settings for 2 separate periods of the day. This is particularly useful for washrooms where there are periods of very high usage, such as in restaurants. Unlike the other models, the Cistermiser IRC2 opens the valve for a period of 30 minutes after the sensor is activated.
