Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV)

Thermostatic Mixing Valve (TMV)

TBV008

Features include:

  • Fully approved by WRAS under the TMV3 scheme to the DO8 specification for basin, shower, bidet, and high pressure bath-fill applications
  • Rapid thermostatic failsafe on either cold or hot supply failure protects the user from extreme temperature dangers
  • Provides extreme mixed water temperature stability under changing supply conditions
  • Available in 15mm and 22mm for group mixing

Specifications:
Factory temperature setting: 41-43c
Temperature setting range: 38-46c
Temperature, hot supply: 52-65c
Temperature, cold supply: 5-20c
Minimum hot to mix differential temperature: 10c
Temperature stability: +/- 2c
Working pressure, static: 16 bar max
Working pressure: See charts in detailed images
Flow rate, minimum: See charts in detailed images

When selecting the required TMV, it is essential that it performs at the flow rate required for that application. Although TMV2 allows for ‘group mixing’ to multiple taps, the valve must be sized accordingly to meet the demand. An undersized valve may result in insufficient hot water reaching the tap(s). A 15mm TMV for each tap is recommended but if you wish to use a 22mm TMV for group mixing of two or three taps, please ensure flow rates can be achieved.
